Different from the traditional performing style of landscape shows, this one-hour performance is created by high-tech, with poetry as the soul and landscape as the carrier to present a fascinating poetic world through recreating the environment where those poems were written. The independently innovated project contains the largest scale and the most complicated technology on the inland water.
In order to achieve the expected effect, the stage and the auditorium are built on the barge. Ten well-known poems written by historic Chinese poets are chosen as ten chapters in the performance. The performance takes Tang Dynasty architecture as the styling reference for scene design. The 63 installations are wove with 2.2mm-thick steel wires, with different size, shape and structure, forming a changeable matrix. The changing effect of the scene matrix is used as the visual subject of the show. Instead of using concrete images, lines are used to form different patterns as the projection content. Using props on the stage and in performers’ hands, and the Baidi Town as the backdrop and lasers cooperating, the show expresses the beauty of Chinese ink style landscape and Chinese poetry.
Since the official premiere of the show on December 15th, 2018, there have been 16 performances in the premiere season, receiving 26,417 audience, with an average of 1,651 people per show, with an attendance rate of 95%. The show enjoys a wide acclaim.
The show is a complete return of humanity, nature, technology and poetry. As the leading force of this exploration, we have also made the Chinese cultural tourism market see more possibilities.
